Acceptance Rate to Med School?

Data on acceptance rates to medical schools can be misleading. Some schools weed out students who are not medical school material by making the premed courses very tough. Some won't write letters of recommendation for students that aren't likely to be accepted. It is hard to find the actual data you would use to make comparisons.
