Have you ever been bitten by a police dog?

I was bitten by an Alsation belonging to the police this last November. I was fighting at a football match in England when one of these things 'went for me'. I was hospitalized and needed stitches and still can't walk properly 7 months on. I think the behaviour of the police in unleashing these land sharks on innocent members of the public is outrageous. I am taking the police force concerned to court and want rid of the dog.
