Knee Replacement Surgery?

I had total knee replacement surgery on 6/6. I'm on Coumadin and take Percocet for the pain. I've a physical therapist coming to my home 3 times a week and my blood drawn weekly. It's been almost a month and I feel like I should be farther along in my recovery. I'm still using a walker. My ROM is going very well, or so says my therapist. The thing is, my foot is swollen like a balloon. It's very uncomfortable to elevate it above my heart for a long period of time. Any ideas? I only take my pain pills before therapy, therapist says I should take them more often. I know everyone's different, but I wonder if there's anyone out there with advice?

My sound system blew a speaker, where do I find a replacement speaker?

I need a 4 inch - 8 ohm speaker the manufacture says is discontinued. It is a perfectly good sound system and i do not want to trash it for one blown speaker. I tried looking all over the Internet for a suitable replacement speaker. Every web site has junk search engines that just bring up all kinds of suggestions for things they want to sell rather than finding the speaker I need. A 4 ohm auto speaker will not work because I am told it will draw current faster and heat up the amplifier of a home sound system thus causing damage to the amplifier and the rest of the system. I guess there are no adapters to make a 4 ohm speaker work in place of an 8 ohm speaker or are there any? I may have to build a new speaker cabinet that will hold a set of 5 1/4 inch - 8 ohm speakers. I would like to know where I can find replacement speakers for a home sound system. Is my new Xbox 360 slim faulty?

I bought a new Xbox 360 slim today and well I believe it's faulty, I set it up and within 10 minutes I got the message telling me that there's insufficient ventilation. I set it up in different areas and there wasn't any reason that this message was popping up as I had it in an open area, no ventilation parts were blocked and I had it on it's side on a hard surface nowhere near any heat sources so I don't know why it's doing this, I'm taking it back to the shop tomorrow to get it exchanged but if the replacement does the same thing then I'm gonna be stuck, any suggestions?

ok so i was running my motor yesterday to check my water pump which i now know is junk and needs replacement. However as i ran it at idle i head a pop noise almost, and later on checked the engine and saw that a line going from the top, through the middle and bottom carbs and then goes to the back of the motor where it plugs into a gold nut near the spark plugs. the piece that broke was a plastic looking piece that is connected to the hose from the carbs, and when it broke i found a spring and a plastic piece that goes inside of the spring. The plastic piece that held the spring ect, snapped where it connects to the gold nut. If anyone knows what this might be please help! ive done a little research and all i can think is possibly a vacuum valve or a retainer of some sort?

Airsoft snow wolf m99 trigger parts?

So I took apart my m99 because it was slam firing and it's the sears that aren't working. I know this because I brought it to a shop but they didn't have the parts. A question about undergrad college?

I feel kinda angry that I am going to Fordham this year instead of better schools which I thought I had a chance at. My SATs are pretty high (2120 Math: 740 critical reading: 720 writing: 660) Sat IIs were high also (physics 710 math level 2: 740) I thought I could get into NYU or Hunter Honors but apparently I'm only good enough for their waiting list. Anyways Fordham did give me a lot of mullah to go to their school and Brandeis (another school I got into) gave me a lot but not nearly enough. With the team they have right now I would have to say no. The Western Conference is just so stacked, they will probably need a .500+ record to have any shot. I don't think management is done making roster moves, so that could definitely change. I don't see the Warriors trading for Gay or Howard. Gay has a bloated contract and Howard is the most coveted big man in the NBA. I like the moves they have made this off-season though, I think they are on the right track. They got their front office in order, and I l really like the draft picks. I'm taking a wait and see approach for the time being.

Chest pain for 4 days?

I'm an active 16 up year old and have been experiencing chest pain for the past 4 days. It is constant but gets really bad right after I eat. I'm thinking that I have heart burn but should I be worried that it could be serious? I was sick last year and along with numerous test had an ekg done. Everything was good. That was over a year ago. I am looking for anyone willing to help me. I was in a motorcycle (trail bike) accident when I was 14 (23 years ago). A couple of kids pulled a rope across the road in front of me and my knee was destroyed. We retained a lawyer to help us recover medical costs and future medical bills as my doctor said I would need a knee replacement later in life. That lawyer allowed the statute of limitations to run out prior to taking the case to court, so at that point our only option was to find a new lawyer to open a malpractice case against the original lawyer. I know that lawyers hate to be involved in cases against other lawyers, but this was the only way we could collect any money. We were not asking for a lot, just enough to cover medical bills, attorney fees, and future medical needs. The first lawyer has so many judgments and complaints against her for the same type of thing. We were awarded a judgment for approximately $35,000 back in 2000 and have not been able to collect on it. Our time frame for collecting is only a couple more years (this judgment took place in New Mexico). I have not been able to find anyone to help me because nobody wants to get involved in a case against another attorney. I don't understand this because had she done what she was supposed to do (what we paid her to do), it would not have come down to this. I am begging anyone who would be willing to help me without any upfront costs, just a portion of the money collected. Why Babolat warranty replacement policy of racquets suck?

My kid found his racket was cracked while under warranty and when it was submitted for replacement, babolat claimed they couldn't since the frame fiber has been exposed. Crooked knee cap? surgery?

Ok so ive had an issue with my knees sense i was 16. i first popped my knee cap out when i was 16 and the doctor told me i hyper extend both my knees and that i would have to take physical therapy and work on not hyper extending my knee. so i go through physical therapy and ive worked on not extending my knee which im successful at most of the time. The issue is even after physical therapy i still had problems with my knee. I have frequent pain, swelling, and popping and clicking. I let it go though and just tried to take pain medicine and just keep going. Last april my knee cap popped out again i had to quit my job and ive been in physical therapy sense. I didn't mention the popping and clicking or pain and swelling that i keep having but last friday when they were doing massage therapy they noticed that my knee cap was crooked i knew something had been wrong with it sense the first tie my knee popped out. My physical therapist says i have to see the doctor again. What im wondering is if there going to do surgery this time or not? im kinda on the fence about having surgery i want my knee to be stable and fine again but im already out of a job and my dad is losing his job july 21st i even had to stop being a vegetarian because we cant afford my replacement meals or vitamins anymore im having serious stomach pains and heartburn for eating meat again. My insurance will cover the surgery so the money doesn't worry me so much but i have bills to pay and im so miserable eating meat again i would really love to hurry up and get a job again so i can pay my bills and by my own groceries again. so is there a chance im going to need surgery and if so how long will it take me to bounce back and get to work. Ive been in physical therapy for almost 3 months now and there very little improvement so is it going to be that long if i have the surgery? i stop moving forward first ... if the owner is close enough to hear me, i call out my dog has kennel cough and to keep their dog/s back ... if the dog continues to approach i use my foot to keep it back ... if the owner has a problem, i would just my foot on them too :O) if the owner is not close enough i will let the unleashed dog go nose to nose with mine and then when i catch up with the owner i suggest a vet visit because their dog just went nose to nose with my actively infected with kennel cough dog (my dog has never had kennel cough) ... that really ticks them off :O)

IPod repair? Part replacement?

I have a 4th gen iPod touch (64g) and had the charging cord ripped from the port. The iPod will not connect to the computer or charge and when looking at the port there is obvious damage. I am a community college student with a high GPA and I plan on transferring to a respectable university such as, Fordham or Depaul to double major in finance/psychology. try playing aion. its pretty good. graphics are awesome. scenery is amazing. gear is very, very realistic-looking (far better than wow's gear) char creations are also far better than wow; realistic and awesome-looking (you can make your toon look totally different from everyone else. my toon has this gigantic super big head, is major tall and extremely skinny. she looks so laughable and i get funny comments on her all the time. i love her). leveling is hard and challenging. same price as wow and should be a nice change of pace for you. or you can keep playing wow and just get in another guild with a better gm. both games are very good to play so either way you win. :) good luck

MY COLLEGE SEARCH. HELP NEEDED?

I go to Providence College. If you want a good education and also have a blast, come here. Not only do we have division 1 sports and participate in the Big East but the party scene is insane. Any day of the week expect there to be a lot of kids partying. As for the other schools on your list, Fairfield University was also on mine. I have a good amount of friends there and it's a beautiful campus and very similar to Providence in terms of everything. The students there do not have a bar scene like in Providence and instead party in town houses on the water. Boston College is definitely the hardest school to get into on your list. Along with Providence, BC has the best sports but unlike Providence, it actually has a football team. So if you like college football, I'd shoot for BC since the game days there are insane. If you want to be downtown in NYC, I'd go for Fordham. Syracuse I wouldn't go to unless you can stand 3 feet of snow on the ground for 5 months out of the year. Most of the other schools on your list are a joke. Northeastern and Quinnipiac are respectable as far as partying. URI is a good state school but I would choose UConn before I chose URI for several reasons - academics, partying, sports is just a few plus the girls are better looking. The other schools on your list aren't really colleges on any partiers wish list so I would just scratch those.

What colleges should I be able to get into?

You're in good shape, but you'll need to recalculate your GPA on a 4 point scale, unweighted for grades 9-12. I'm sure your guidance counselor knows how to do that, and if not there are definitely formulas floating around. Community service is great, honor roll is important (especially if you can get into honors societies), and your class rank will be taken into account. For NYU and the ivies, you'll need outstanding SAT/ACT scores. You should also keep in mind that many of the ivies do not have undergraduate business programs. If you're looking for the top undergraduate business programs (many of which may surprise you), I've enclosed a link. If you're looking for other things to give you an edge, you should try to get a few extracurricular activities beyond volunteer work. If you can get leadership positions, such as editor of the school paper, VP of the conservation club, etc. that would really improve your chances. Hope this helps!

I currently own a Storm Paradigm Passion, and I joined my first league in about 5 years. Law school or MBA after college?

I'll be graduating from Fordham in a little over a year and am torn between going to law school or business school. My undergrad degree will be in finance. I'm not too concerned about the money, I'm sure I'll make plenty no matter which path I choose, I'm just looking for some advice from someone who maybe has both or even one. I plan on staying in NYC so law schools to consider would be Fordham, Columbia, or NYU. I was thinking about corporate law but would keep my options open. Growing up, I have come to realize that happiness is always achievable, and is not restricted by certain careers. My mother is a successful medical doctor and my father is a happy banker. But contrary to my parents' hopes for me to enter an intellectually professional field, such as medicine or finance, I am interested in fighting. I hate being restricted by my physical limits: I always try to force my body to perform beyond its capabilities. Often times, I easily get into a tenacious fighting spirit where I want to pit myself against undefeated fighters. I want to confront the biggest ****** in the world, and to warn God to either help me or watch me perform the impossible by unleashing and risking everything for a total, unhindered victory. My parents will be emotionally devastated if I become a boxer, but it is the only field that gives me motivation to relieve my emotional frustrations. I am currently taking multiple AP and honor classes, but I have trouble concentrating in class; therefore, my grades are merely satisfactory. So, from an educational view point, I am a hopeless loser being a senior--starting from August--in high school. I have decided to become a boxer or an MMA fighter after high school, and to attempt to specialize in pertinent fields. From a practical outlook, I will probably incur significant brain damage from the career and will be a destitute. But I want to fight and survive on loans and fight pays during my initial young years. And when my physique will wean because of age, I will commit suicide via drug intake. Honestly, my fickle belief in God changes based on my amount of positive perceptions of life. So, if he exists, he should forgive me for taking my life instead of facing the dire remainder of my petty life as a wearing, old remanent of a force of unbending will. I am a rising sophomore and I have had a job for over a year as the IT consultant and personal assistant to the owner of a small clothing company. I have been offered a second job at a clothing company that is starting up. Many people also use me to help with their home computers. My father asked me if I would like to start a company and when I have enough clients, hire people to do my job and I would collect the leftover profit. Why is college so expensive in America?

I had to turn down Brandeis for Fordham because Brandeis cost SOOO much money. Fordham gave me a full scholarship practically so I took em up on it. It sucks that I had to turn down the better school for financial reasons.
